Google Local for India
In case you haven't checked this out yet, try Google Local for India. For example, this search for restaurants near Banjara Hills, Hyderabad or restaurants near Lavelle Road in Bangalore gives me a list of results for restaurants along with their contact info.

Google Local Business Center does not have fields to enter latitude / longitude. These days GPS locations can easily be obtained in India. People can either locate their businesses / homes on maps and get the lat/long (or) they can also use GPS (or) GPS enabled phones in India.
Taking in latitude/logitude information dramatically improves business opportunities by mapping the locations exactly. Use it for rentals / sales / yellow page listings etc. Hope google has realised it. If not, its not too late.
